GCON is seeking a MEP professional with experience working with a general contractor on large-scale, $100M+ data center construction, or similar commercial projects. This is a leadership role that requires strong technical expertise, exceptional project management skills, and the ability to coordinate and direct the work of trade partners ensuring safety and quality in accordance with all codes, quality standards, and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and supervise the MEP installation team on-site, ensuring the successful and timely completion of electrical systems for a $100M+ data center project or similar commercial projects.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for all MEP related activities, effectively communicating with project managers, general contractors, trade partners, and vendors to ensure smooth integration of all electrical systems.
  • Coordinate work between trade partners and commercial teams to ensure that all tasks are performed according to schedule and in compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Ensure scopes meets the required quality standards, codes, and specifications.
  • Perform regular inspections of MEP installations to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Maintain a strong focus on safety by implementing and enforcing safety protocols and ensuring all workers adhere to OSHA standards and best practices.
  • Track the progress of electrical work, identify potential delays or conflicts, and take proactive measures to keep the project on schedule.
  • Work closely with team members to resolve any coordination issues or clashes between systems. Foster a collaborative working environment to promote project success.

Skills/Qualifications:
  • BS in Construction Management or related degree.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of with general contractor for large scale commercial projects, with at least 5 years in a supervisory, project manager, or superintendent role.
  • Strong knowledge of MEP systems, including high-voltage distribution, emergency backup systems, lighting, power and controls, grounding, and fire alarm systems. Familiarity with BMS (Building Management Systems) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in project management software (Procore, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
