Systems Engineer

Onsite | Austin, TX | Contract-to-Hire


We are looking for a Systems Engineer to support the day-to-day stability, performance, and security of enterprise technology environments in Austin. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to core infrastructure operations across servers, cloud platforms, storage, and related IT services while developing hands-on experience in a collaborative technical team. The ideal candidate will help maintain dependable systems, respond to operational issues, and assist with ongoing improvement efforts that keep business technology running efficiently.


Responsibilities:

• Support routine administration of enterprise infrastructure, including server environments, cloud-based services, storage platforms, and essential IT systems.

• Monitor system health and performance, investigate alerts, and assist in resolving technical issues to minimize service disruption.

• Apply patches, updates, and maintenance activities to help keep systems secure, stable, and aligned with operational standards.

• Assist with user and system administration tasks involving Active Directory and Azure Active Directory environments.

• Contribute to the support and upkeep of Microsoft Windows Server platforms and related infrastructure components.

• Help maintain and troubleshoot technologies such as Citrix and Microsoft Exchange as part of the broader enterprise environment.

• Document incidents, system changes, and support activities to improve visibility and strengthen operational processes.

• Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional IT teams on infrastructure support, issue resolution, and improvement initiatives.

• Hands-on knowledge of Active Directory administration and support.
• Experience working with Microsoft Windows Server in an enterprise IT environment.
• Familiarity with Azure Active Directory and basic cloud identity management concepts.
• Exposure to Citrix technologies and the ability to assist with platform support activities.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Exchange administration or support.
• Understanding of system monitoring, troubleshooting, patch management, and general infrastructure support practices.
• Ability to diagnose technical issues, prioritize tasks effectively, and communicate clearly with team members.
