Job description

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Cloud Engineer III. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based systems while ensuring they are dynamically scalable, fault-tolerant, and cost-effective. The Cloud Engineer III will lead significant technical initiatives, manage Citrix infrastructure, and support Azure-based solutions, including Azure DevOps, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust cloud solutions.


Key Responsibilities:


Cloud System Engineering:

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable, available, and fault-tolerant cloud-based systems using Azure PAAS and IAAS services.
  • Implement cost-control strategies to optimize cloud resource usage.

Citrix Infrastructure Management:

  • Maintain and administer all aspects of the company’s Citrix infrastructure, including XenApp and XenDesktop.
  • Conduct performance tuning, capacity planning, and develop long-term strategies for Citrix systems.

Identity and Access Management:

  • Implement Azure Identity, SSO (single sign-on), and MFA (multi-factor authentication) capabilities.
  • Manage, plan, design, and troubleshoot Azure Active Directory in a hybrid environment.
  • Enhance and upgrade Active Directory domains to meet business requirements.

Technical Leadership:

  • Lead projects and initiatives, contributing to the technical design and implementation of systems on-premise or in cloud platforms.
  • Generate scripts and templates for automated provisioning and debug technical issues in complex stacks.

Azure DevOps Management:

  • Build and manage Azure DevOps pipelines for CI/CD and release workflows.
  • Manage Azure DevOps repos, branch policies, and automate infrastructure provisioning.

Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:

  • Document architectural solutions, design specifications, and technical guidance for junior team members.

Project Collaboration:

  • Work closely with IT teams to implement cloud solutions aligned with organizational goals and requirements.


Must-Haves:


  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Master’s Degree is preferred.
  • Experience:
  • 6-10 years of relevant experience in IT, with expertise in cloud systems and infrastructure.
  • Extensive experience with Azure, Citrix VDI, XenDesktop, XenServer, VMware, Hyper-V, and networking fundamentals.
  • Skills and Tools:
  • Proficiency in Yaml, Python, PowerShell, Azure CLI, Windows, and Linux.
  • Knowledge of emerging container management platforms like Kubernetes, Docker, and Rancher.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Active Directory, Azure DevOps, AVD, and Citrix Provisioning Services.
  • Strong expertise in server architecture, virtualization, LAN/WAN, Firewall, and VPN technologies.
  • Communication:
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to explain complex technical concepts effectively.
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator, Azure DevOps Engineer).
  • Experience with cloud-native tools like Terraform and knowledge of web services, APIs, and REST.
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies and database systems (e.g., SQL).
