We are seeking a TS/SCI Cleared Citrix Software Virtualization Engineer to support the virtualization and delivery of mission-critical applications within the User Facing and Data Center Services Contract supporting National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) systems.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Citrix application virtualization/sequencing, VDI environments, Windows applications, and VMware technologies, and can independently troubleshoot, test, document, and optimize application delivery in a mission-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, package, sequence, test, and maintain virtualized mission applications for delivery to both VDI sessions and thick clients.
  • Support applications with plugins, dependencies, and advanced graphics requirements.
  • Collaborate with application testers and mission Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to validate application functionality and resolve compatibility issues.
  • Identify and implement required application sequencing changes and optimize packaging processes.
  • Identify user application settings—including registry keys, AppData, and configuration files—that must persist across sessions in non-persistent VDI environments.
  • Identify opportunities to automate application sequencing and deployment using scripting and engineering tools such as PowerShell.
  • Support configuration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of Citrix, VMware, and VDI application delivery infrastructure.
  • Support backup, disaster recovery, and continuity of operations (COOP) capabilities.
  • Troubleshoot incidents, fulfill software requests, and support application delivery throughout the operational lifecycle.
  • Analyze, test, and deploy security patches and software updates in accordance with program and security requirements.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, test plans, test cases, implementation plans, operational guides, and training materials.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to other team members.
  • Work independently with limited direction, exercising sound technical judgment to achieve assigned objectives.
  • Apply current virtualization technologies and capabilities to evolving program requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Top Secret Clearance with SCI
  • U.S. Citizenship required.

    • FlexApp
    • Other enterprise application packaging/sequencing technologies
  • 5+ years of experience in systems administration and/or virtualization, with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, certifications, and experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to package, sequence, troubleshoot, test, and deploy Windows applications in enterprise virtualized environments.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize competing requirements, and deliver technical work within schedule and budget constraints.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to rapidly document technical findings, designs, procedures, and test results.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience administering Windows 10/11 and Windows Server 2012+ environments.
  • Experience with PowerShell, scripting, and automation for application packaging, deployment, and administrative tasks.
