JOB DESCRIPTION:

For Citrix Administrator:

This position is responsible for:

Provides technical analysis, design, and support for the Epic x86 environment as required for daily system operations, system upgrades and new releases.

Provides technical support for advanced users within Epic project and support teams including involvement in application printer mappings and application testing related to client systems.

Works with other analysts and in association with IT engineers, architects and resources, contribute to the research, development, documenting, testing and deployment of new technology, SU loads, and upgrades for use across the enterprise.

Conducts routine maintenance of Epic workstation and printer records and involvement in installation, moves and changes of workstations, printers and other end user devices.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

Expertise and/or certification in server operating systems (Windows 2008, Windows 2012)

Working knowledge of desktop operating systems (Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8)

Expertise of desktop virtualization technologies (Citrix, XenApp, View)

Working knowledge of network topologies and implementations (TCP/IP, DNS)

Working knowledge of Windows based print queues, file shares, and user/group (Active Directory) administration

Understanding of dependencies of other ancillary applications and interface to the Epic systems

Knowledgeable in scripting languages such as : batch, java, visual basic or powershell

Technical expertise in healthcare environment; preferred

Working knowledge of back-end infrastructure technologies and principles (virtual, storage, disaster recovery and security); preferred

License & Certifications:

Epic Client Systems Manager level 100 certified.

Successful candidates will have completed the Epic Client Systems Manager level 200 training at Epic within the first 90 days of employment. Certification will then be required at that time.

Microsoft or Citrix certifications such as server MCPs or MCSE or CCA or equivalent is required.
