System Administrator

Location: PHX/Lenexa/Swanzey office locations

About the Role:

Visory is seeking a System Administrator to plan, build, administer, and support client-facing and internal IT systems. In this role, you will serve as a technical escalation point for the Support team, providing Level 3 support while delivering exceptional customer service. You will research, test, and develop solutions in a methodical and detail-oriented manner, working closely with Engineering, Management, Sales, and clients to resolve complex system issues and support ongoing initiatives.

What You Will Be DOING:

  • Level 3 Escalation & Advanced Support: Provide expert-level troubleshooting and resolution for escalated tickets, ensuring issues are resolved in alignment with performance metrics and service expectations.
  • Technical Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert for company service offerings and supported systems, providing guidance to internal teams and clients.
  • Solution Development & Research: Research, test, and develop solutions for recurring or complex technical issues in a structured and logical manner.
  • Client Communication & Service Excellence: Deliver exceptional customer service via phone and email, managing expectations and ensuring timely resolution of system and infrastructure issues.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Management: Document all customer issues and resolutions within the ticketing system and contribute to internal knowledge base resources.
  • Projects & Operational Support: Participate in ongoing system and network initiatives, assist with assigned projects, and take part in an on-call rotation as required.

What You Will NEED:

  • Experience & Background: 5+ years of advanced technical problem-solving experience in roles involving network administration, network engineering/design, virtualization technologies, and server build/maintenance. This is not an entry-level role.
  • Education & Certifications: Bachelor of Science or equivalent certifications preferred. Must hold or obtain within 6 months Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate (AZ-104) and/or Citrix CCA-V certification.
  • Systems & Infrastructure Expertise: Strong understanding of Active Directory (On-Prem and Azure AD), Group Policy, RDS/RDP, Citrix, Windows desktop/server OS, virtualization technologies, cloud hosting principles, and Office 365 configuration/management.
  • Technical Tools & Platforms: Proficiency with RMM solutions such as N-Able and familiarity with printer configurations in remote VMs and on-prem environments.
  • Security & Best Practices: Knowledge of IT security concepts and enterprise best practices.
  • Troubleshooting & Analytical Skills: Expert-level diagnostic, analytical, and research abilities with strong attention to detail.
  • Communication & Work Style: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong customer service orientation, ability to manage priorities independently, and integrity in meeting deadlines and collaborating with teams.
