Job description

We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Director to lead Portfolio Solutions within Citi Wealth Studio. This role will serve as a key interface between the CIO organization and the Labs teams to design and implement a sophisticated portfolio construction framework that enhances advisor capabilities and client outcomes.
The Director will be responsible for creating guided workflows that support flexible portfolio construction, enabling advisors to utilize institutional-quality models with the ability to customize allocations, apply smart substitutions, and receive decision support aligned with client risk profiles, goals, and preferences. This includes developing embedded recommendation logic based on investment policy statements, tax considerations, and market views.
A core responsibility is to manage and operationalize the Product Master - overseeing the end-toend lifecycle of due-diligenced investment products across the spectrum including mutual funds, ETFs, separately managed accounts (SMAs), CIO-selected thematics, and alternative investments.
The Director will lead coordination across product, operations, risk, and compliance to ensure all investment solutions meet regulatory, operational, and suitability standards.
This leader will play a central role in enabling platform-scale delivery of proposals directly from the home office to the field. By designing intelligent workflows, the Director will allow advisors to receive pre-built, home office-approved proposals aligned with investment outlooks and product priorities. A focus area will be the seamless digital handoff and approval mechanisms for proposal pushing and execution.
The role also requires strong understanding and application of emerging technologies. The Director will drive the implementation of GenAI-powered capabilities to automate the identification of portfolio health issues, generate diagnostics, and recommend investment changes based on market shifts and client-specific needs. These tools will form the foundation of an 'always-on' advice engine within Citi Wealth Studio.
The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in product development, wealth management platforms, and enterprise technology delivery. Success in this role will be measured by product adoption, advisor satisfaction, proposal conversion rates, and platform-enabled growth.
