About the role: 

Assists in the development and analysis of products, materials, processes, or equipment. Under direct supervision/guidance, compiles, analyzes, and reports operational, test, and research data to establish performance standards for newly designed or modified products, processes, or materials. 

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Undertakeand successfully completesimple or basic project/product development tasks to include any of the following: writing and/or verifying specifications; maintaining product/process documentation; testing processes, equipment, raw materials, and product; and validating equipment and processes 

  • May assist in inventing/creating concepts and designs/approaches for new products/processes/test methods 

  • Design, procure, and fabricatesimple tooling and fixtures 

  • Designand coordinaterudimentary engineering tests and experiments 

  • Applythe Technical Development Process (TDP)/Product Development Process (PDP) methodologies 

  • Preparestandard reports/documentation to communicate results to technical community 

  • Completebasic tasks on engineering documentation 

  • Traintechnicians/operators on new processes and/or test procedures 

  • Identifyareas for improvement, suggestsolutions, and submitidea records 

Required qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Biomedical Engineering or Bioengineering 

  • Experience with medical device industry standards 

  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization 

  • 3 months of Research and Development experience, including engineering testing and statistical data analysis 

  • Prior internship experience with Boston Scientific

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) - see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com-will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
