Overview
We are seeking a Senior Account Executive to join our Technology Practice. This is a mid-level position where you may serve as an account lead on smaller team and/or team lead on individual workstreams for larger accounts. Senior Account Executives work as the right-hand to the account manager and/or director, leading ongoing account work while contributing to the overall strategic direction of an account.
In this position, you'll be charged with guiding and supporting junior team members with project management, reviewing day-to-day assignments and shepherding deliverables through to completion. This position also requires proactive participation in client calls, presentations and ongoing client communication.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with senior account leads in the development and implementation of account strategy and planning, client growth, integrated campaigns and social media programs; delegate appropriate assignments to team members.
  • Actively pursue media to secure press results; network and build relationships with key media contacts, and proactively develop new story angles for clients.
  • Oversee and provide direction and guidance for AEs, AAEs and ACs alongside the account manager or director.
  • Maintain regular client contact via conversations and written communications, and foster client relationships across accounts.
  • Begin developing skills outside traditional media relations, including building and planning integrated campaigns, social media strategy and execution, influencer relations, etc.
  • Support new business initiatives by developing first draft content and participating in new business presentations.
  • Promote and uphold Allison's core values and participates in agency-wide training and professional development programs.

Qualifications
  • Must have experience working as an account executive, senior account executive or equivalent in public relations, marketing or a related field. Senior Account Executives at Allison typically have a minimum of 3+ years of experience.
  • Technology Industry background and/or interest strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate success in managing and adapting to multiple project deadlines start-to-finish, producing near-final versions of internal and client deliverables.
  • Self-motivated, eager to learn and enthusiastic about the work.
  • Strong media relations skills. Existing media relationships preferred.
  • Demonstrates strong interest in management.
  • Strong writer and editor.
  • Proficiency in using a media monitoring and data analytics tool like Muckrack, Critical Mention, Meltwater and Cision.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel, alongside Zoom and Microsoft Teams.

Compensation
In order to comply with equal pay and salary transparency laws in various locations, we believe the target range of base compensation in all locations within the United States for this role is $63K-$85K. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location.
