Job description

For over four decades, Cirrus Logic has been propelled by the top engineers in mixed-signal processing. Our rockstar team thrives on solving complex challenges with innovative end-user solutions for the world's top consumer brands. Cirrus Logic is also known for its award-winning culture, which was built on a foundation of inclusion and fairness, meaningful community engagement, and delivering enjoyable employee experiences at every turn. But we couldn't do it without our extraordinary workforce - and that's where you come in. Join our team and help us continue to make Cirrus Logic an exceptional place to grow your career!
Are you an infrastructure architect looking to drive large-scale transformation? Cirrus Logic is seeking a Senior Information Systems Engineer to own the backbone of our global corporate IT infrastructure. This is not just a "keep the lights on" role; you will be the technical lead responsible for the architecture, scalability, and security of our server and storage environments. In this high-impact position, you will work autonomously to innovate, automate, and evolve the systems that empower our global teams to do their best work.
Responsibilities
  • Architect & Innovate: Drive new infrastructure technologies into production. Act as the primary technical lead for identifying gaps in our environment and independently owning the strategy from identification through implementation.
  • Operational Excellence: Lead the reliability and performance of our global server and storage ecosystem. Serve as the senior technical escalation point, providing mentorship to junior engineers and elevating the team's collective expertise.
  • Automation-First Culture: Champion modern DevOps practices. Continuously evolve our processes by building robust automation and scripting to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency.
  • Collaborative Strategy: Partner with global IT cross-functional teams to define best practices, implement robust solutions, and stay ahead of emerging vulnerabilities and security threats.
  • Technical Stewardship: Develop and maintain high-quality documentation, including policies, procedures, and architectural KB articles that ensure consistency across the global IT organization.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience with Windows Server administration (ADDS, GPO, DHCP, DNS, ADCS).
  • 5+ years of experience managing enterprise-grade SAN configurations (Pure Storage/EverPure).
  • 5+ years of experience with advanced hypervisor platforms (VMWare, Hyper-V, Nutanix).
  • 5+ years of experience with cloud-based technologies (Microsoft 365, Azure).
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in datacenter and colocation environments.
  • 5+ years of scripting proficiency (PowerShell, Python) applied to infrastructure automation.
  • Experience with Identity Management solutions (such as Entra ID) and SAML.
  • Thorough understanding of HA environments across all platforms.
  • Recent involvement with company-wide BCDR projects.
  • A "solve-it-once" mindset: You love finding the root cause rather than just applying a patch.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, complex enterprise environment.
  • Strong communication skills with a passion for knowledge transfer and mentorship.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience with Prometheus, Splunk or alternative monitoring solutions
  • Experience with ServiceNow
  • Experience with Automation Tools (Azure Automation, Ansible, Terraform, etc)
  • Experience with AI & DevTools (VSCode, GitHub, Postman, etc)
