Job description

Citi Research is looking for a Supervisory Analyst and Editor to join our Global Research Publications Team. In this senior role, you will sit at the intersection of editorial excellence, regulatory compliance, and operational delivery - reviewing and shaping the investment research that reaches Citi's global client base. You will play a critical part in maintaining the quality, integrity, and timeliness of a high-volume, multi-format research product spanning written reports, audio, video, and data.
Responsibilities
  • Review investment research content to ensure compliance with US FINRA regulations, including reasonable basis, sourcing standards, and language requirements.
  • Assess research language, tone, and content for franchise and reputational risk, editing where necessary to mitigate exposure while preserving independent analytical views.
  • Edit investment research reports for quality, clarity, commercial relevance, style, and grammar across a range of formats and asset classes.
  • Verify research publications for accurate issuer mentions against internal watch lists, appropriate disclaimers and disclosures, data consistency, and correct distribution tagging.
  • Manage end-to-end editorial workflow as a project coordinator, tracking work in progress and liaising with analyst teams, publications staff, product managers, compliance teams, and technical support to ensure timely delivery to global clients.
  • Identify, escalate, and resolve control issues with transparency, maintaining sound judgment on risk and compliance matters in every business decision.
  • Apply Citi's internal research content guidelines consistently, using established guidebooks and policies to uphold publication standards across all research output.

Required Qualifications & Skills
  • 6 - 10 years of experience with at least five years of experience creating, editing, or supporting investment or financial analytic content, in roles such as financial research editing, equity research, financial journalism, or compliance and legal operations with an editorial focus.
  • Strong familiarity with global financial markets, financial terminology, and ongoing business and investment news.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines, with strong prioritization and time management skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, with the capacity to consistently apply a broad range of editorial guidelines and compliance procedures.
  • Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal, with the interpersonal skills to work effectively with demanding internal stakeholders and reach constructive outcomes.
  • Comfortable working with complex publishing software platforms and able to coordinate with technical teams to troubleshoot issues.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Beneficial Skills & Qualifications
  • Holding a current FINRA Series 16 license is a significant advantage and will be prioritized in the selection process.
  • Additional FINRA qualifications such as Series 3 or Series 4 are valued but not required.
  • A Master's degree or postgraduate qualification in finance, business, journalism, or a related discipline.
  • Prior experience in a licensed Supervisory Analyst capacity within a sell-side or research-driven environment.

What We Offer
  • Opportunities to grow your career locally and collaborate with colleagues across Citi's global network.
  • A hybrid working model that balances in-office collaboration with remote flexibility.
  • Investment in your professional development through training programs, mentorship, and skill-building opportunities.
  • Employee wellbeing support including medical coverage, mental health resources, parental leave, and family support programs.
  • Competitive retirement contributions and investment options to support your long-term financial goals.

Apply today to bring your editorial expertise and financial market knowledge to a role where your work directly shapes the integrity and impact of Citi's research for clients around the world.
