Description:

The Menlo Circus Club seeks an experienced full-time Cook to join our kitchen team. Candidates must be skilled in food preparation and understand the importance of maintaining a safe and clean work environment. You are dependable and willing to learn; cleanliness is important to you. You have dependable transportation and are on time for work.

  • Prepare meals for our restaurant and events.
  • Follow recipes to measure, mix, and prepare ingredients.
  • Cook a variety of foods using different methods.
  • Check the freshness of food and ingredients.
  • Garnish dishes and ensure timely food preparation.
  • Keep the kitchen area and equipment clean.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen and restaurant staff.
  • Maintain positive relationships with coworkers, members, and guests.

Evening Shifts required.

Requirements:
  • 2 - 5 years of experience in a similar role, a high school diploma, a culinary degree or certification, or equal experience.
  • Previous experience in food and beverage service and preparation.
  • Experience with hot and cold food preparation.
  • Thorough knowledge of food sanitation standards, safety, and health codes.
  • Ability to use kitchen equipment such as slicers, mixers, and grinders.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid California Food Handlers Certificate required.
  • Must be available on weekends and holidays.
  • Fluent English speaking and writing a plus.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

1. Must be able to work standing and constant walking for the period of a shift.

2. Periodical bending, kneeling, and stretching are required.

3. Pull, push, move, carry, and lift; at least 35 pounds of force is required.

4. Must be able to seize, grasp, turn,n and hold objects with hands.


The position requires individuals to work holidays, weekends, and more than 8 hours in one workday.


Must have unrestricted ability to work in the United States


$20.00-25.00 USD Hourly, Full-Time, Medical, 401K, Meals, Employee Assistance Program


Evening Shifts required.
