Job description

Celebration Cinema Grand Rapids North is currently seeking a tech savvy Presentation Technologist (a.k.a. Projectionist). In this role, you will work behind the scenes to ensure a flawless presentation of our movies, which includes troubleshooting issues, preventative maintenance, and completing daily task lists. Responsibilities also include ensuring proper content and providing AV equipment and support for group events as well as assisting the frontline staff with theater checks, theater cleanings and other theater related tasks.

Our theatres are the busiest on the weekends, so, ideally having weekend availability is preferred, but we do also offer limited matinee/day-time shifts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Engage with, and provide guests with the highest level of Celebrated Service
  • Maintain the highest possible standard of presentation by overseeing flaw reports - ensuring they are completed and following up when appropriate
  • Assist in ensuring successful execution of group events, including the proper handling of content and AV equipment
  • Do projection equipment preventative maintenance, including lamp orders and changes, regular cleaning and inspections.
  • Oversee general booth operations, including any regular or recurring tasks that are fulfilled by the on-duty presentation technology specialist.
  • Serve as an extension to the Presentation Technology Department, troubleshooting when possible and being a good steward of company resources

QUALIFICATIONS and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Preferred availability: Evenings, Holidays and Weekends (Friday evenings, Saturdays and Sundays) Limited matinee shifts available
  • High standards and expectations for excellence
  • Ability to multitask and communicate effectively with peers in all areas of operation
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with high value and sensitive equipment
  • Technical aptitude and strong computer skills
  • Ability to remain composed during moments of high stress
  • Experience with AV equipment a plus
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work well independently, with little supervision
