This is a part-time position requiring weekend availability. This position is eligible for discounted downtown parking, free employee meals, DailyPay, hotel and restaurant discounts and more.
SUMMARY:
To be responsible for the everyday operational setup and teardown of AV equipment in meeting space. To ensure that the guest is satisfied with the products and services provided by the audio-visual department, while meeting our financial responsibilities. Conduct daily tasks and activities displaying a professional manner and attitude guided by the spirit to serve.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Be familiar with setup, teardown and operation of AV Equipment.
- To provide fast and courteous service to our guests.
- To assist other departments with AV related issues.
- Practice safety standards and report all unsafe conditions.
- To accurately complete all of the AV related tasks on a daily basis.
- Maintain positive attitude and willingness to please the internal/external guest.
- Arrive to work on time, neatly groomed and in proper uniform.
- Responsible for hanging all banners.
- To be ready to fill in wherever they are needed to satisfy the guest.
- This position requires weekend work (Saturday and Sundays), as it is essential to the role. If you are unable to work weekends you would not be eligible for this position.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Must be familiar with basic AV equipment.
- Must be able to lift minimum of 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work in a catwalk.
- Must be able to climb a 12ft. ladder.
- Must be able to see all colors of the spectrum.
- Must provide and maintain safe working conditions, to avoid accidents/injury.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Four-year degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
- Previous Guest service experience
- Previous hotel Audio Visual experience preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job, the associate:
- Is regularly required to stand, walk and run
- Is required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects
- Is required to frequently reach with hands and arms
- Is regularly required to talk or hear; taste or smell
- Is occasionally required to sit and stoop; kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision
