Job description

Summary and Purpose:
  • Milaca Alliance Church is seeking to hire a part-time Worship Ministry Director with a heart dedicated to leading others in worshipping Jesus Christ. This person will come alongside the leadership team to plan Sunday morning worship services in addition to other gatherings the church may have
Qualifications/Education
  • Coursework or Degree in Ministry, Music, or another relevant field
  • OR
  • Ministry experience in this area

  • Has personally accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and makes a daily effort to carry their cross
  • Commitment to living missionally
  • Agreement with the doctrinal statement of the Christian & Missionary Alliance
  • Alignment with the vision and values of Milaca Alliance
Church Position Roles
  • Plan and lead Sunday Worship Services by selecting songs and settng up a consistent rotation of volunteers (musicians, singers, sound-booth technicians, slides)
  • Input schedules, teams and songs into our services software
  • Print music for the worship team to have in front of them while playing/singing
  • Search for & recruit spiritually healthy musicians, singers, sound people to build teams to participate in Sunday Worship
  • Confidently & graciously lead musicians to strive for musical excellence while maintaining a heart focused on worship
  • Lead pre-service meeting going over the order of service with team
  • Coordinate with the leadership team on order of service, including offertory music, baby dedications, announcements, and communion musicians
  • Communicate regularly with the leadership team to align the Worship ministry with the other ministries in the church (theme, scripture, vision, etc.)
  • Be a part of staff meetings
  • Work with leadership to manage the worship budget and equipment
  • Help plan extra services (Good Friday, Christmas Eve, etc.)
