Job description

About Aegis AI

Aegis AI is building the next generation of email security—powered by AI agents that think and act like human analysts. Our mission is to keep users safe. Our agents stop Phishing and Spam attacks before they reach employees, using hundreds of specialized models that collaborate autonomously across inboxes.

Our team was founded by the Google security leaders who built Gmail and Chrome Security. Backed by Accel and Foundation Capital, we’re transforming how enterprises protect their people from modern social engineering threats.

The Role

As Chief of Staff, you will be the primary force multiplier for our CEO (http://linkedin.com/in/cykho) and the founding team. You are an operator tasked with ensuring the company’s most critical priorities move from "idea" to "execution" at lightning speed.

This is a high-visibility role designed for someone who wants to see exactly how a high-growth, venture-backed AI startup is run from the inside. You will act as a surrogate for the CEO in key meetings, lead special projects that span Product and GTM, and ensure the leadership team is focused on the highest-leverage work.

Responsibilities
  • Executive Force Multiplication: Own the leadership team's operating rhythm. Drive the agenda for executive meetings, offsites, and board preparations to ensure decisions are made and tracked.

  • Special Projects & Incubation: Take "vague" but critical problems and own them until they are solved or ready to be handed off to a permanent lead. This could range from closing an early enterprise pilot to researching a new AI model integration.

  • Strategic Communication: Draft board decks, company-wide memos, and investor updates. You will be responsible for synthesizing complex technical breakthroughs into clear, compelling narratives for external and internal stakeholders.

  • Cross-Functional Orchestration: Ensure the Product, Engineering, and GTM teams are aligned. Identify silos or friction points in our "agentic" development cycle and resolve them before they slow us down.

  • Fundraising & Investor Relations: Partner with the CEO on future fundraising rounds, managing the data room, investor outreach, and the storytelling that secures our next stage of growth.

Who You Are
  • High Agency & Low Ego: You are a "fixer." You don't need a playbook—you write it. You are equally comfortable leading a high-stakes meeting or doing the deep-dive research required to support a decision.

  • 4-7+ Years of Experience: Likely from a high-growth startup, top-tier consulting firm, or venture capital. Experience in "founder-led" environments is a huge plus.

  • Technically Fluent: You can't be a force multiplier at an AI company if you don't understand the tech. You should be comfortable discussing model precision, human-in-the-loop systems, and the evolving threat landscape.

  • The "General Manager" Mindset: Like our Product Managers, you are expected to behave like a true owner. This role is a direct path to a future Founder or VP role.

  • Master Communicator: You possess the rare ability to communicate with Google-tier engineers and Tier-1 investors with equal clarity and authority.

Why This Role?

This is the ultimate "finishing school" for a future entrepreneur. You will be learning directly from serial entrepreneurs who built Gmail and Chrome Security, working with partners at Battery Ventures, Accel, and Foundation Capital, and helping build the "immune system" for the modern enterprise.
