2018-19 School Year
Salary:   $42,000- $48, 400 Based on Education and Experience
Benefits:  Medical/Dental and 401 K
Requirements:  LBS-1 or comparable from another state.  Must obtain an LBS-1 provisional before start date of 2017-18 school year.

Summary of Duties
The following list of duties is merely a high-level summary of tasks performed by JTC Academy's Teachers.  It is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of the duties assigned and performed in this role.














 
  • Teaches through the use of technology entire school day through laptops, chrome books, Smart Boards and web based.  Technology is a requirement, not an option.
  • Develops strategies to meet the needs of each individual student using IEP goals while documenting these goals in lesson plans, grade books and IEP progress reports.
  • Instructs students in academic subjects using assigned school curriculum while following IEP goals.
  • Writes IEP's in a timely manner and meets all deadlines and remains in compliance.
  • Follows behavior plan and behavior treatment plans.
  • Maintains a portfolio for each student from first day of school until last day of school with work samples that are tied to IEP goals.
  • Implements appropriate instructional objectives while using common Core and JTC Academy curriculum maps/guide.
  • Motivates students effectively, therapeutically and according to JTC Academy's guidelines and behavior treatment plans.
  • Accepts and maintains responsibility for classroom behavior of all students assigned.
  • Accepts and maintains responsibility for teacher assistants assigned.
  • Follows school wide behavior management system.
  • Contributes successfully in the revisions and initial creation of  Behavior Treatment Plans (BTPs) to meet individual needs of students
  • Maintains appropriate boundaries and maintains appropriate teacher/student relationship.
  • Enforces all policies and procedures of the JTC Academy Handbook, Student Behavior Management Plan and Student Handbook.
  • Works cooperatively and positively with all co-workers and administrative team.

  • Bachelor's Degree - required
  • Master's Degree - preferred

  • Technology Competency Test
  • Verification of LBS-1 or LBS-1 Provisional
  • PBIS Training a Plus
