Instructional Assistant - Full time
Lower Grades Instructional Assistant:
Be a team Player
Discuss assigned duties with classroom teacher in order to coordinate instructional efforts.
Prepare lesson materials, bulletin board displays and equipment.
Tutor and assist students individually or in small groups in order to help them master assignments and to reinforce learning concepts presented by the teacher.
Assist teacher in preparing material such as sorting papers, organizing materials, copying, etc.• Experience using technology, laptops, ipads, and chrome books.
Supervise students in classroom, not limited to: school yards, field trips, school activities
Grade homework and tests, and compute and record results.
Act Responsibly with respect to children's rights (e.g. regarding suspected child abuse)
Attend and participate in all faculty meetings, in service training, events and activities as specified by the Principal.
Attend and participate in Back- to-School Night; Open House, Christmas Concert, and Eighth Grade Graduation.
Perform other duties consistent with the work of a teacher that the principal may assign such as yard duty, student activities moderator or chaperone, staff room duty, etc.
