Summary

Love teaching kids in a positive Christian environment? This may be the job for you.

We are currently searching for teachers for the 2025-2026 school year. You should not only love the subjects you teach, but also be excited about creating lifelong learners.

You’ll cultivate student strengths and come alongside them to make weaker areas strong. Your students should be expected to excel in academics under your guidance.

You should shepherd your class by serving as a mentor, being a positive role model, and contributing to the development of strong moral character.

To excel in this role, you should have in-depth knowledge of effective teaching practices that ensure learning is an engaging and meaningful experience. Our ideal candidate has excellent interpersonal and organizational skills that contribute to the school’s overall positive and engaging culture for students.


Responsibilities

  • Develop lesson plans and set high expectations for students
  • Giving and grading assignments, homework and tests
  • Establish and administer classroom rules and standards
  • Take attendance and document daily notes
  • Help students prepare for standardized testing
  • Oversee students during recess, lunch and other activities
  • Update and meet with parents about their children’s progress
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary classroom
  • Communicate with parents regularly through the class newsletter and parent-teacher conferences
  • Help plan and lead fall and spring semester field trips
  • Work with staff to ensure all gaps are filled and school policies are being followed appropriately
  • Attend staff meetings and participate in professional development
  • Willingness to learn and apply Classical Christian teaching methodologies

Qualifications

  • Proven work experience as a teacher or similar role
  • The ability to communicate in ways students will understand, as well as with parents and administrators
  • Confidence speaking in front of groups and enforcing classroom rules
  • The creativity to create engaging lesson plans and inspire students to learn
  • The physical and mental stamina to keep up with high-energy grade school students
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Degree in Education; Master’s degree a plus
  • Classical Christian education experience a plus
  • A teaching license is preferred
