Job description

Job Title:   Behavior Specialist (BCBA Preferred) 2026-27
Date Available: August 2026
Description:  This Middle School-based position involves directly supporting students, conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs), and developing positive behavior support plans. Key responsibilities include analyzing behavioral data, communication with families, training both general and special education staff on implementation of positive behavior support plans and working collaboratively as a member of a school team. While primarily assigned to the Middle School phase, the role requires flexibility to work with other grade levels based on student need.   




Qualifications:  

  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and/or a minimum of 3 years' experience working with school aged students.
  • Maine DOE Certification Endorsement 282: Teacher of Children with Disabilities or BCBA certification.
  • CHRC

Maine State Law requires ALL school employees to be fingerprinted and pass a Criminal History Record Check (CHRC).
