Qiao Lin Hotpot is seeking an experienced, motivated, and hands-on Front of House Manager to join our Downtown Chicago team.
Qiao Lin Hotpot is known for authentic Chongqing-style hot pot, premium ingredients, and attentive hospitality. We are looking for a strong leader who can maintain excellent service standards, develop the front-of-house team, and support the continued growth of our Downtown location.
Compensation and Benefits
- $45,000–$60,000 annually, based on experience

Responsibilities
- Lead daily front-of-house operations and ensure a smooth, welcoming guest experience
- Supervise, train, coach, and motivate servers, hosts, food runners, bussers, bartenders, and other FOH team members
- Create and manage employee schedules based on business needs and labor targets
- Monitor service quality, table flow, reservations, wait times, and dining room organization
- Handle guest concerns professionally and resolve issues promptly
- Maintain high standards for cleanliness, appearance, hospitality, and restaurant organization
- Conduct pre-shift meetings and communicate daily priorities, promotions, and service expectations
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, and employee development
- Work closely with the General Manager and Kitchen Manager to improve communication between FOH and BOH
- Monitor labor costs, beverage sales, guest feedback, and other key operating goals
- Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety standards, alcohol service regulations, and applicable labor laws
- Be present and actively involved during busy nights, weekends, holidays, and special events
Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of restaurant management or strong front-of-house leadership experience
- Experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant is preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable coaching employees, providing feedback, and holding the team accountable
- Strong understanding of guest service, restaurant operations, scheduling, and labor management
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Experience with OpenTable, POS systems, scheduling software, or similar restaurant technology is a plus
- Knowledge of hot pot, Asian cuisine, or additional languages is helpful but not required
