Essential Duties:

The Amboy Chemical Operation produces calcium chloride and sodium chloride by utilizing solar evaporation.  Calcium Chloride liquid is transferred throughout the plant site at various concentrations using our truck and trailer or pumps during the production process.

  • Attends safety meetings and training sessions at plant site
  • Operates truck and trailer to transfer material around the plant site as directed
  • Connect suction and discharge hoses to load and unload the truck
  • Checking drive engine fluid levels and perform other safety checks prior to operation
  • Completes Daily Product Transfer Reports
  • Performs specific gravity analysis on product samples as required
  • Performs general maintenance on pumps and site trucks
  • Performs fuel transfer operations to refuel the truck as required
  • Communicates with site management on daily basis
  • Troubleshoot parts and equipment and repair or replace as needed.
  • Lubricate equipment as required.
  • Possess basic knowledge of hydraulic systems and components.
  • Possess the basic skill needed to operate forklifts, man lifts, skid steer, loader, motor grader, scraper, and dozer.
  • Possess a basic knowledge of rigging and lift techniques.
  • Ensure the highest levels of efficiency and productivity while ensuring the safety of personnel and proper care of equipment.
  • Assist in other areas of the plant site as needed

Requirements:

  • EDUCATION: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); Vocational training preferred
  • EXPERIENCE: 1+ years of mechanic experience required, with water transfer pump experience being preferred
  • LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: Valid driver’s license with good driving record
  • TRAVEL: 20% depending on job site
