About the Role

**This a part-time position, working approximately 20-30 hours a week.**

Champions Club is seeking a detail-oriented and service-drivenย Poker Cage Cashier to join our growing team. As one of the first and last points of contact for our members, the Poker Cage Cashier plays a critical role in delivering an exceptional guest experience while ensuring the accuracy, security, and integrity of all financial transactions within the poker room.

Responsibilities
  • Process cash, chip, credit card, and electronic transactions accurately while following established cash-handling procedures.
  • Exchange cash for chips, process chip redemptions and cash-outs, and collect membership dues, seat fees, and other club-related payments.
  • Balance and reconcile the cage drawer and assigned bank at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • Maintain accurate transaction records and comply with all Title 31 regulations, internal controls, and company policies.
  • Safeguard company funds, chips, and assets while ensuring all reportable transactions are properly documented.
  • Verify member identification and provide exceptional service by assisting with transactions and answering member questions.
  • Operate POS systems, currency counters, counterfeit detection equipment, and other cage-related technology.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to support smooth poker room operations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and secure cage area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
Experience & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required and must be at least 21 years of age.
  • One (1) year of cash handling, banking, or cashier experience preferred; poker room or chip-handling experience is required.
  • Basic knowledge of poker rules, chip handling procedures, and Title 31 regulations preferred.
  • Strong mathematical aptitude with the ability to accurately count currency, make change, and reconcile cash transactions.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a high level of integrity, accuracy, and accountability when handling company funds.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with the capability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to adhere to all company policies, procedures, security protocols.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift cash trays or supplies as needed, and perform repetitive cash-handling tasks.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write basic English.
