Overview
Restaurant Steward
The Restaurant Steward is responsible for performing all phases of kitchen cleaning to maintain safe and sanitary conditions while under the Steward's supervision.
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for all breakdown, feed, catch and proper sorting of all china, silverware, and glassware as it is brought to the Dish Room
  • Wash pots and pans and properly sort and store them on the pot shelves
  • Clean walls, ceilings, baseboards, floor drains, hand sinks, tables and cutting boards
  • Sweep and mop all floors
  • Remove trash from the kitchen areas to the Trash Room
  • Polish silver, glass and brass in all outlets as needed
  • Clean and maintain dish machines in all outlets
  • Wash kettle pots on hot line as needed
  • Responsible for cleaning loading dock bay area with pressure washer

  • Inform Steward of needed supplies

Qualifications
  • Prior experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate
  • Capable of lifting and moving heavy objects
  • Strong people skills
  • Communication skills including the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Minimum age is 18 years old
