The Associate Site Coordinator supports the daily operations of the elementary afterschool program, helping to create a safe, engaging, and enriching environment for students. This role assists with program implementation, staff supervision, student engagement, family communication, and administrative responsibilities such as data collection for grants. The ideal candidate is organized, energetic, dependable, and passionate about working with children.
This position runs Monday-Thursday from Mid-August through the beginning of June following the school district calendar. Typical work hours are 9:30-5:30. This position is 32 hours per week and includes benefits. This position includes on-the-job training and paid professional development.

Qualifications
Required
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience working with elementary-aged children in educational, recreational, or youth development settings.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with students, families, and staff.
Must be 21 years of age.
First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain certification.
Preferred
Associate's or Bachelor's degree
Experience in afterschool, expanded learning, childcare, or youth programs.
Experience supervising staff, volunteers, or student groups.
Bilingual skills are a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Understanding of child development and age-appropriate practices.
Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with basic computer applications and record-keeping.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist the Site Coordinator in the daily operation of the afterschool program.
Provide daily leadership and guidance to program staff and volunteers as needed.
Support the supervision and safety of students during program hours.
Coordinate academic enrichment, recreation, arts, STEM, and other youth development activities.
Foster positive relationships with students, families, school personnel, and community partners.
Monitor program spaces to ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.
Support student behavior management using positive youth development practices.
Help prepare materials, schedules, and activity plans.
Assist with family communication and program events.
Step into leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Site Coordinator.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
