Ongoing training in trauma-informed care and regular team debriefs can help staff effectively address these challenges and maintain a supportive environment for both children and colleagues.

What is a children's home?

A children's home is a residential facility that provides care, support, and accommodation for children who are unable to live with their families due to various reasons, such as abandonment, neglect, abuse, or family breakdown. These homes are staffed by trained caregivers who ensure the children's basic needs are met, offer emotional and psychological support, and facilitate their education and personal development. The goal is to provide a safe, nurturing environment while working towards long-term solutions, such as family reunification or adoption.
