Job Opportunity

ChildNet, Inc. is a private, not-for-profit community-based care (CBC) agency servicing Broward and Palm Beach County. We are contracted with the State of Florida, Department of Children and Families, to provide case management support to abused, abandoned, and neglected children. ChildNet is nationally accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA) and employs over 600 staff at its location in Ft Lauderdale and West Palm Beach, Florida.

Job Summary: This position assists with establishing and organizing departmental programs, schedules, and filing systems. Participates in special projects.

The items listed below are intended to provide an overview of the essential functions of the job. This is not an exhaustive list of all functions and responsibilities that the position may be required to provide.

  • Assist with and respond to inquiries regarding departmental functions. Provide resolutions or direct to relevant resource.
  • Perform continuous development and maintenance of ChildNet's tracking and reporting system for complaints. Conduct follow up on resolutions.
  • Provide administrative support to department staff. Route incoming calls for the department.
  • Gather pertinent information and documents in preparation for case distribution. Complete meeting minutes for unit and staff meetings.
  • Assist other ChildNet departments with obtaining information needed to better serve children and families.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills / Requirements

Years of Experience:

  • Two (2) years of Social Services experience and/or experience working in an office environment.

Education/Licenses/Certifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Associates Degree preferred

Work Environment:

  • Typical office environment. Offices with equipment noise. Offices with frequent interruptions.
  • Considerable time is spent at a desk using a computer terminal.
  • Duties are completed in an office or virtual environment based on business needs.
