Preschool Center Director – Early Childhood EducationLocation: The Learning Experience – Oak Creek, WI
Salary: $60,000 per year
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday
Lead a School Where Children, Families & Teachers Thrive
The Learning Experience – Oak Creek is seeking an experienced Preschool Center Director to lead our early childhood education center.
We're looking for a strong people leader who can balance educational quality, teacher development, family relationships, enrollment, licensing compliance, and daily operations. As Center Director, you'll set the tone for the school and create a positive culture where children thrive, families feel connected, and teachers feel supported.
What You'll Do
  • Lead the daily operations of the childcare center
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, coach, and retain high-quality teachers
  • Build a positive, accountable, and supportive team culture
  • Manage staffing and scheduling while maintaining required classroom ratios
  • Ensure compliance with Wisconsin childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements
  • Monitor classroom quality and support implementation of The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum
  • Conduct center tours and build relationships with prospective families
  • Drive enrollment growth, family retention, and overall satisfaction
  • Address family questions and concerns professionally and proactively
  • Support community outreach and local enrollment events
  • Manage administrative responsibilities, staffing, payroll processes, and center documentation
  • Partner with ownership to achieve operational and financial goals
Qualifications
  • Childcare or preschool leadership/management experience required

  • Experience in a licensed daycare, preschool, or early childhood education program
  • Strong knowledge of childcare center operations and licensing requirements
  • Experience recruiting, coaching, and developing teaching teams
  • Strong communication, organization, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with enrollment, family tours, and retention preferred
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Business, or related field preferred
  • Must meet applicable Wisconsin licensing requirements for Center Director
