General Description
Assistant teacher for 3- and 4-year old classrooms at the Child Study Center on campus.
The Child Study Center operates Monday - Friday from 7:45 AM until 2:45 PM; August - May.
Assistant teachers may be hired at various intervals throughout the academic year.
Essential Job Duties
Promote teacher-child relations by helping children adapt to the environment.
Be familiar with and abide by NAEYC guidelines/standards.
Assist with and ensure set-up/clean-up of daily routine.
Assist with preparation of and service of meals and snacks.
Exhibit and maintain a child-centered safe and healthy environment in both the indoor and outdoor classrooms.
Complete assignments as given by the teachers and/or director.
Abide by all policies stated in the Child Study Center Handbook.
Complete all other tasks as needed.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
Experience with young children preferred.
Selected applicants will be required to pass a criminal background check.
