Join our inpatient Surgery and Emergency Department teams, to bring intentional emotional support, developmentally appropriate preparation and healing-centered care to children and families navigating hospital visits with greater comfort and confidence. Our team is growing and we need an experienced Child Life Specialist to enhance our inpatient team.
Job Specifics
Location: 744 S Webster Ave, Green Bay, WI
FTE Status: 1.00 FTE (40 hours/week)
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 5:45am - 2:00pm, no weekends or holidays

Job Description:
Join our team supporting morning surgeries and our Emergency Department, as a Child Life Specialist utilizing education and therapeutic interventions to help children cope with illness and hospitalization. Specialists will utilize their knowledge to educate, prepare, and support children during hospital stays, as well as learn to understand how to reduce anxiety. Acts as a resource to help adults answer children's questions and cope with the family changes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Development, Child Life, or Psychology required.
Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS) credential and member of Child Life Council required.
1-2 years of experience as a Certified Child Life Specialist required.
