Position Summary:
The Divison of Pediatric at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) and Children's Wisconsin (CW) seeks a board certified / board eligible physician to join our expanding Division. This position is located in Appleton, WI at the Children's Appleton Clinic. We are comprised of nationally and internationally renowned, dedicated group of faculty and staff with a strong commitment to clinical care.
Position Highlights:
Children's Wisconsin (CW), one of the nation's top-ranked pediatric healthcare systems, and the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) are seeking a skilled and compassionate Child Neurologist to join our team in the Appleton, Wisconsin area. As a Child Neurologist at Children's Wisconsin, you will have the opportunity to provide exceptional care to children with neurological conditions, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and contribute to advancing pediatric neurology.
This position is located in Northeast Wisconsin as part of an innovative collaboration between Children's Wisconsin, Bellin Health and ThedaCare. These top-quality health care organizations are partnering to improve the health and well-being of children and adolescents in Northeast Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan through a collaboration called Connected for Kids. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with primary and specialty care providers at these organizations to improve patient outcomes. The connection between the organizations helps position our physicians to successfully support the needs of patients and their families.

Children's Wisconsin is an independent health care system dedicated solely to the health and well-being of children. The hospital, with locations in Milwaukee and Northeast Wisconsin, is recognized as one of the leading pediatric health care centers in the United States. Children's Wisconsin provides primary care, urgent care, emergency care, specialty care, mental and behavioral health services, community health services, foster and adoption services, child advocacy services and health insurance plans. Each year, the Children's Wisconsin team has more than 6.5 million touchpoints with kids and families through medical care, advocacy, research and education.
In Northeast Wisconsin, Children's Wisconsin is expanding its services to provide increased access to outstanding pediatric subspecialty care. This includes a pediatric hospital, with a Pediatric Unit, Level III NICU and Infusion Center, which is located at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah, Wis. A multispecialty pediatric ambulatory clinic with on-site laboratory and radiology services opened in Appleton, Wis. in 2023.
As part of the Connected for Kids partnership, Children's Wisconsin pediatric specialists have expanded procedural care within Green Bay. Pediatric specialty services will expand within a new pediatric & adolescent specialty clinic in Green Bay, opening in August of 2025. Children's Wisconsin neonatology specialists will also work in partnership with Bellin Hospital to build a Level III NICU, within an innovative couplet model that provides both maternal and neonatal intensive care.

Department/Division Highlights:
The Child Neurology Division consists of a dedicated team of 14 physicians, ten residents, four physician assistants, five nurse practitioners and other allied health professionals who support a comprehensive range of specialty programs for children with complex neurological conditions across their lifespan. Patients and providers benefit from close collaboration with experts in pediatric neurosurgery, pediatric neuropsychology, pediatric neuroradiology, pediatric physiatry, pediatric anesthesiology and other pediatric and adult specialties, all available on our medical campus. This ensures seamless transitions as patients move from pediatric to adult care.
We have a dedicated 21-bed pediatric neuroscience unit and our Neurosciences Center is the largest and most comprehensive in the state enabling us to offer the most advanced diagnosis and treatment options for various neurological and neurosurgical conditions.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD, DO, or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
- Board certification or eligibility in Pediatric Neurology.
- State medical licensure, or eligibility to obtain license, in the state of Wisconsin.
- Rank will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful finalist.

In 2021-2022, CW and CSG had six specialties ranked by US News & World Report: cancer; cardiology and heart surgery; gastroenterology and GI surgery; neurology and neurosurgery; orthopedics; and pulmonology.
