Job description

Childcare Center Director –|  Full-Time

Bambini Montessori Academy is seeking an experienced and passionate Childcare Director to lead our Montessori-based early childhood program for children ages infant to 5 years old. The Director will oversee daily operations, ensure compliance with Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) and Office of Child Care (OCC) regulations, and support a positive, nurturing learning environment for children, families, and staff.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily operations of the center, including staffing, enrollment, and licensing compliance.

  • Supervise and support teachers and staff through training, scheduling, and evaluations.

  • Maintain strong relationships with families and promote open communication.

  • Ensure classrooms reflect the Montessori philosophy and meet all MSDE standards.

  • Oversee safety, health, and record-keeping procedures.

  • Collaborate with administration on budgeting and program development.


Qualifications (per MSDE/OCC requirements):
  • MSDE Director Qualification required.

  • Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field OR
    90-hour Preschool Certification + 45-hour Director/Admin Course + 3 years of child care experience.

  • CPR/First AidBasic Health & Safety, and 9-Hour Communication Course.

  • Must pass background check and medical clearance.
