Qualifications Required
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program Current Occupational Therapist license in South Carolina or eligibility to obtain South Carolina licensure Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary pediatric team Passion for helping children and families achieve meaningful functional goals Preferred But Not Required

Previous pediatric occupational therapy experience

• Experience in an outpatient pediatric therapy setting Experience with sensory integration, developmental disabilities, fine motor development, or ADL training New graduate Occupational Therapists are encouraged to apply. Our mentorship program is designed to help new clinicians develop confidence and clinical skills during their first year of practice.
About the Position

As a Pediatric Occupational Therapist, you will evaluate and treat children with a variety of developmental and functional needs. Our therapists work closely with children, parents, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans designed to improve independence and participation in everyday activities. Our pediatric population includes children and young adults from birth through age 21.

Treatment may address: * Fine motor development * Gross and sensory-motor integration * Sensory processing and regulation * Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) * Self-care skills * Visual-motor and visual-perceptual skills * Coordination * Motor planning * Social participation * Developmental milestones * Functional independence at home, school, and in the community

Pediatric Occupational Therapist Responsibilities
• Perform comprehensive pediatric occupational therapy evaluations and assessments Develop individualized plans of care based on each child’s needs and goals Provide evidencebased pediatric OT interventions Create engaging and developmentally appropriate therapeutic activities Help children improve functional independence, fine motor skills, sensory processing, ADLs, and participation Educate parents and caregivers regarding therapy goals and strategies for carryover at home Collaborate with Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, SpeechLanguage Pathologists, Early Intervention professionals, physicians, caregivers, and other members of the child’s care team Accurately document evaluations, treatment sessions, progress, and outcomes Maintain compliance with HIPAA, professional standards, and clinic policies Participate in continuing education and professional development Help maintain a positive, safe, organized, and childfriendly therapy environment.
