Child Development Associate Remote information

What is a child development associate working remotely?

A Child Development Associate (CDA) working remotely is an early childhood education professional who supports the development and learning of young children through virtual platforms. They may provide online instruction, assessments, and resources to families and childcare staff, ensuring children meet developmental milestones. Remote CDAs often work with childcare centers, preschools, or families, utilizing technology to observe, assess, and guide best practices in child development. Their role is similar to in-person CDAs but adapted to remote communication and digital tools.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a child development associate in a remote setting?

To thrive as a Child Development Associate (CDA) remotely, you need a solid understanding of early childhood education principles, child development, and typically a CDA credential. Familiarity with virtual learning platforms, video conferencing tools, and digital documentation systems is often required. Strong communication, patience, and self-motivation are valuable soft skills for building relationships with children and parents in a remote environment. These skills and qualifications ensure effective teaching, engagement, and collaboration while maintaining high standards of care and learning remotely.

How does a remote child development associate effectively collaborate with parents and other educators to support children's growth?

As a remote Child Development Associate, regular and proactive communication is key to building strong partnerships with parents and other educators. This often involves virtual meetings, sharing progress reports, and offering guidance on activities that families can do at home to reinforce learning. You may also participate in team video calls to coordinate lesson plans and discuss individual children's needs. Utilizing digital platforms for resource sharing and maintaining clear, consistent contact helps ensure children continue to receive holistic support despite the remote setting.

Is it worth getting a child development associate certification?

A Child Development Associate (CDA) certification can enhance job prospects and demonstrate competence in early childhood education. It is often required or preferred by employers for roles working with young children and can lead to higher pay and career advancement. The certification involves completing training, gaining experience, and passing an exam, making it a valuable credential for those seeking to work in childcare or preschool settings.

What can I do with a child development associate certification?

Job description

Buscamos terapeutas bilingües (español/inglés) en Georgia

Daybreak Health is actively recruiting bilingual Spanish/English APCs to serve students and families across Georgia. This is a remote role for Associate Professional Counselors only, with free supervision (when caseload requirements are met), guaranteed pay, and flexible scheduling.

Gainesville's community is nearly half Spanish-speaking, and the demand for bilingual, culturally competent mental health care in our partner school districts far exceeds current supply. If you're bilingual and want to serve your community — we want to hear from you.

What Makes This Different

  • Free supervision — no cost to you when caseload requirements are met
  • Guaranteed pay for late cancellations and no-shows
  • $35–45/hr depending on session type
  • 100% remote — work from home anywhere in Georgia
  • Flexible scheduling including evenings and weekends
  • No billing, no credentialing, no admin — we handle everything

The Work

You'll provide evidence-based teletherapy to K–12 students in Georgia school districts, collaborating with school counselors and families. You'll participate in case consultations and contribute to clinical program development.

What You Need

  • Active APC license in Georgia (required — we are not able to hire pre-licensure or other license types at this time)
  • Bilingual Spanish/English fluency
  • Experience or strong interest in working with school-aged youth and families
  • Comfortable with telehealth and EHR systems
  • Available Mon–Fri afternoons/evenings (weekend slots also available)

Preferred

  • Experience in CBT, DBT, or similar modalities
  • Prior school-based or youth-focused experience
  • Active NPI and CAQH
Pay Range
$35—$45 USD
