Chief Maintenance Engineer

Mechanicsburg, PA


Courtyard is currently seeking a full-time Chief Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania! In this role, you will be responsible for managing all property engineering and maintenance operations ensuring that preventive maintenance programs, daily work orders, and special projects are completed efficiently and with the highest quality.

The right candidate will have:

  • Previous maintenance experience required, previous management experience strongly preferred
  • Previous experience using hand and power tools, floor care machines, electrical testing equipment required
  • The ability to repair machines or systems using the required tools
  • The ability to Install equipment, machines, wiring, or programs to meet specifications
  • Knowledge of routine maintenance including determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed

Our Chief Maintenance Engineer will:

  • Lead a team of maintenance technicians on daily maintenance operations with a focus on achieving efficiently run maintenance projects and operational functions to include methods of coaching and leading the work.
  • Perform general maintenance tasks including painting, carpentry, and landscaping.
  • Perform repairs and related tasks needed to maintain a safe and secure environment
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be able to drive as needed.
  • Develop, revise, review, and implementation of a preventative maintenance program to the building to reduce the risk of future problems.
  • Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs, ballast, and outlets
  • Perform routine to difficult plumbing duties, inspecting, installing, repairing and replacing pipes, fittings and plumbing fixtures, unclogging sinks and toilets, repair of faucet, assemblies and replacement of washers, repairs or replacement pipes, repair of fountains.
  • Maintain assigned equipment and tools; perform inspections to ensure safe operating conditions; establishes priorities; performs repairs and/or replacement of parts; cleans and performs preventative maintenance; and monitors need for replacement or advanced repairs.
  • Maintain the building HVAC equipment to keep climate control in the facility functioning.
