Job description

REPORTS TO VP of Systems (Jordan Brandley)

Ogden, UT | On-Site | Reports to VP of Systems (Jordan Brandley)

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Data Lead owns the BI & Data function end to end. You will build and govern a brand-aware data platform โ€” one BigQuery environment, segregated by brand, governed for trust โ€” that every team in the company depends on. This is a senior individual-contributor / player-coach role with four direct reports: a Data Quality Analyst (filled), a Data Analyst for Operations, a Data Analyst for Finance, and a Data Analyst for Marketing/Sales.

Finance has historically been under-served by data โ€” getting them fully in the loop on current numbers is a primary mandate of this role. You will partner directly with CFO Aaron Davis and the Director of Planning & S&OP to align data inputs with business cadences.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Data Platform Architecture โ€” BigQuery schema design, brand segmentation strategy, data pipeline oversight, and data warehouse governance
  • Analytics Service Delivery โ€” Ensure every team has timely, trusted data; manage analyst capacity against cross-functional demand
  • Data Quality & Governance โ€” Partner with Manish Raghunathareddy (Data Quality, filled) to establish data standards, documentation, and monitoring
  • Finance Data Partnership โ€” Build brand-dimensioned P&L views, FP&A inputs, and inventory accounting data products in partnership with the CFO's team
  • Team Leadership โ€” Hire, develop, and manage three open analyst seats; define team processes, prioritization, and delivery standards
  • Tooling & Stack โ€” Own the analytics stack (BigQuery + Looker/Tableau or equivalent); drive adoption of a semantic layer for self-serve BI
  • Cross-Functional Roadmap โ€” Represent data capability on the Systems roadmap; partner with the BI Developer/Dashboard Engineer to translate data into operating dashboards

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 6+ years in analytics, data engineering, or BI roles with 2+ years leading a data team or function
  • Hands-on expertise with BigQuery (or comparable cloud DW) โ€” schema design, query optimization, pipeline management
  • Experience supporting multi-brand or multi-channel ecommerce analytics at scale (DTC + wholesale preferred)
  • Strong fluency in financial data: P&L construction, FP&A inputs, cost accounting structures
  • Proficiency with Looker, Tableau, or a comparable BI/visualization layer
  • Demonstrated ability to build data governance practices โ€” documentation, data dictionaries, quality monitoring
  • Experience hiring and developing analysts
  • Clear, direct communication with non-technical stakeholders (Finance, Ops, Marketing)
