The Insights and Product Analytics (IPA) organizationis responsible foranalyzing the business performance of all products within Gartner's Business and Technology Insights (BTI) business unit. This includes evaluating key client value drivers such as research content, client interactions, conferences, and events.

IPA also supports the BTI and Gartner Product Management (GPM) organizations by delivering analytically derived business insights across areas including client retention, associate performance,budgetand financial analysis (in partnership with the finance organization), and client demand sensing.

We enable data-driven decision making by providing data, insights, and analytic tools to continuously improve our business-both operationally and strategically.

We are seeking anAssociate Data Analyst Internwith a passion for analytical problem solving to join our growing team. As an intern, you will support a wide range of projects related to content, client interaction, events, role and platform analytics, demand sensing, staffing models, cost reporting, automation, associate performance analytics, standard reporting, and ad-hoc analytics.Internswork closely with IPA leadership to structure problems,identifydata sources, perform analysis, and communicate findings. Projects will include collaborative, team-based work as well as opportunities for independent ownership, often involving automation and cross-functional collaboration with the Information Technology team.

High-performing interns may receive full-time offers to join Gartner's Associate Data Analyst Rotational Program upon graduation.

  • Support high-impact analytical projects to drive business insights across Gartner's BTI and Product teams.

  • Develop skills in statistical analysis, executive-level communication and presentations, cross-team collaboration, and data visualization.

  • Apply modern machine learning and AI techniques toreal businessproblems with measurable client impact (e.g., defining features of high-impact content and/or client conversations,identifyingtop areas of client demand).

  • Collaborate with analytics, project management, and data engineering teams to support end-to-end visibility into how data science outputs influence business outcomes.

  • Develop domainexpertiseon Gartner's data, analytic tools, reports, and data infrastructure. Take initiative in problem solving, root cause analysis, and devising testing methodologies for validation, and clearly explain data sources to senior audiences.

  • Collaboratewithcross functionalteamsincludingdatascientistsandInformation Technology team,to ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency.

Job Requirements

  • Experience:Academic experience involving analysis of large volumes of data, with hands-on experience using analytical tools. Ability to gather, analyze, restructure, and articulate insights from qualitative and quantitative data.

  • Education:Currently pursuing aBachelor'sdegree(2028graduate), preferably in a quantitative field such as statistics, data science, mathematics, engineering, operations research, computer science, or economics.

  • Problem Solving:Demonstratedability to approach complex problems, think creatively, and communicate data-driven stories. Willingness to learn and develop these skills further.

  • Collaboration and Initiative:Ability to work effectively in teams, engage with stakeholders, anddemonstrateinitiative. Eagerness to learn and develop leadership and influencing skills.

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 59,000 USD - 78,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
