JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Financial Analyst FP&A- Data Analytics is responsible for all finance support of Progress Residential Expense management, with a focus on non-compensation expense budgeting, forecasting, and reporting

This role focuses approx. 80% on finance data analytics and 20% on core finance responsibilities.

This role is based out of our Atlanta, GA or Tempe, AZ office.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Own all financial budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for Non-Compensation expenses (Fleet, Legal, Technology, etc.)

  • Partner with CTO to develop vendor-level expense reporting and forecasting, providing

  • Partner with COO to develop Fleet expense targets for team members working in the field

  • Partner with CFO to develop Non-Compensation targets and work with business partners to drive results that ensure the targets are achieved

  • Automate expense reporting and drive efficiencies into reporting and budgeting processes

  • Lead monthly non-compensation expense review process with VP of FP&A

  • Provide commentary for financial performance versus budget and forecast

  • This role will be the Administrator for the Progress Residential financial system (Prophix) and provide assistance to all finance partners in building new reporting and ensuring financials in Prophix system are accurate

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics

  • 2-5 years of total experience in a Finance or Accounting role

  • Possesses excellent critical thinking skills with the ability to articulate context

  • Experience with Hyperion Planning, Oracle, Prophix, or other financial systems software

  • Ability to effectively communicate financial results to Senior Leaders and non-finance team members to synthesize financial data and develop storylines around financial performance

  • Ability to drive automation in financial processes

  • Ability to drive results with cross-functional partners to obtain financial commitments

  • Self-starter with inquisitive mind to dig into financial results and understand performance

  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously

  • Experience in Tableau, Looker, or other dashboard-related software

  • Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint abilities
