  • Work Schedule (1st Shift): Monday thru Friday
  • Start Time: From 5:45am until job is completed (until approx. 3pm)
  • Pay Rate: From $16 per hour and up based on experience.

Position Purpose
Processes and packs chicken products using hand tools and machines to meet order specifications. Follows safety and sanitation rules while keeping the work area clean and organized.
Major Functional Responsibilities:
  • Process & pack chicken products to order schedule specifications either by hand or by various machines including but not limited to slicer, marinade tumbler, tenderizer, mixer, etc.
  • Inspect, weigh & prep chicken to various specifications
  • Sharpen and adjust cutting/processing equipment. Start-up and shut down equipment.
  • Receive and inspect chicken. Maintain proper stock levels on production line.
  • Identify various product forms by sight and pack each product according to specifications (type of product, boxes, labels, etc.)
  • Adhere to all company SOPs, GMPs, USDA, SQF procedures, etc. and work consistently with all food safety, quality and sanitation requirements
  • Able to work in refrigerated environments, approx.. 40F
  • Perform all other duties as assigned that are necessary, required or directed by management.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, organized work area throughout the facility and common areas.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Experience:
1+ year experience in the food service industry or food production environment.
Skills:
Ability to stand for extended periods, up to six hours per day
Ability and willingness to work in cold environments such as refrigerated storage or meat processing facilities
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 80 lbs on a regular basis.
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual Spanish preferred.
Food handling or food processing experience.
Knowledge in meat handling advantageous.
