Job description

Healthcare's helping hand.
CHG shook things up in 1979 by inventing the locum tenens staffing model. We connect doctors with patients who need their care. As the largest physician staffing firm in America, our providers treat millions of patients each year.
Our industry is growing and demand is high. This means you'll have plenty of opportunities to grow and develop in your career. Keeping healthcare healthy can be as fun as it is rewarding
Responsible for developing and delivering strategic consulting and advisory services to CHG's largest current and future enterprise accounts. Lead discovery, project planning, and delivery for major healthcare organizations - including health systems, payers, medical groups, technology providers, and other industry partners. Own client relationships, strategy, statements of work, and staffing and resource planning, while building relationships with senior leaders, executives, and industry experts internally and externally to drive client strategy that delivers an excellent customer experience and long-term growth.
Serve as an informal leader today, with a path toward formally leading multiple consulting teams within CHG. Act as a department liaison for internal and external clients, driving strategy and delivering financial and service results, while maintaining excellent customer service aligned with CHG's core values.
Responsibilities:
  • Establish and grow CHG's advisory services - a fast-growing start-up unit within a well-established organization
  • Bring the agility to wear multiple hats and deliver on expectations as the practice scales
  • Lead and professionally develop consultants and delivery team members
  • Lead client-side engagements on strategic workforce management initiatives
  • Develop standard processes and operations to deploy advisory services within existing internal and external frameworks
  • Ensure the team's adherence to the ECS Sales Process and internal communication framework, collaborating effectively with divisional partners
  • Own the team's negotiated contracts, guaranteeing legal, financial, and operational compliance
  • Use strong internal influence to help divisional client teams build structure, operational plans, and visibility for large clients
  • Monitor healthcare industry trends and their impact on CHG's largest clients
  • Drive client satisfaction, measured and reported annually through the Customer Experience Survey
  • Develop the annual team budget, production action plans, and revenue growth strategies
  • Create, drive, and achieve defined sales goals
  • Build and maintain strong cross-divisional relationships that accelerate client growth
  • Represent CHG in a variety of professional settings to promote the value of the brand
  • Develop strategic, consultative partnerships at the client's executive level
  • Provide an executive presence at site visits and internal/external quarterly business reviews
  • Guide the team on monthly ledger read-outs and daily performance to consistently meet financial goals
  • Support the team in developing and executing successful Client Development plans
  • Support the creation and execution of a team vision and strategy that motivates action
  • Build and promote a culture of collaboration and communication across the organization
  • Set long-term strategic objectives and take responsibility for their execution and success
  • Create new and better ways for the organization to succeed
  • Be an example of CHG's culture, core values, and servant leadership style
  • Develop and maintain strong C-level relationships that enable strategic sales strategies
  • Apply knowledge of the business and marketplace to advance the organization's goals
  • Act independently while guiding and training others to maximize the volume and value of direct sales
  • Work without supervision, providing technical guidance when require
  • Conduct research and analyze data to drive improvements, with an eye on the big picture

Qualifications:
  • People leadership skills with servant-leader attributes
  • Decisive, with the judgment to know when to enroll others at the executive level
  • Comfortable owning results without 100% control of teams - a highly accountable leader with a proven ability to get things done through others
  • Strong outside sales skills built on a collaborative approach, sales storytelling, and customer listening
  • Strong business development, written and verbal communication, analytical, and negotiation skills
  • Excellent internal influence skills - able to build credibility and trust at every level, from division President to front-line client rep
  • Strong presentation development and delivery skills, with the discipline to let results speak louder than self-promotion
  • Prioritization skills to manage multiple customers competing for your time
  • Highly collaborative, with the ability to lead a team and guide each individual's development
  • Ability to hold yourself and your team accountable to commitments and results
  • Ability to handle conflict and resolve issues quickly and effectively
  • Ability to influence key stakeholders, both internally and externally
  • Proven track record of driving results, team engagement, and talent development
  • Estimated up to 20% travel - including client, industry, and CHG office visits

Education and Years of Experience:
  • Successful experience in operations management within healthcare, workforce, or provider industries
  • Successful growth, revenue, and sales experience in a professional or technical field
  • Good financial and marketing analytical abilities
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5 to 10 years of related experience in sales and account management, with a staffing or healthcare component
  • 5 to 10 years of people leadership experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in direct sales of products and/or services

Preferred:
  • Healthcare, health economics and analytics, healthcare software/services, or workforce/staffing experience.
  • A background in healthcare, physician services, workforce, or healthcare solutions
  • A proven sales track record
  • Consulting background
  • Experience in the medical field, health care industry or locum tenens staffing preferred
