Specialty Operations Business Unit is accepting online applications for the position of I&E Technician at Geismar, LA through July 16th, 2026 at 11.59pm CT.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Maintenance of the plant

  • Assist Planner and scheduler in daily tasks

  • Coordinate crews as assigned

  • Work with warehousemen for materials and parts procurement as needed

  • Assist in plant repairs and call outs as needed to maintain the plant

  • Assist in Turnaround and Project planning and scheduling for in-house maintenance crew and associated outside contractors

  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks

  • Support predictive maintenance practices

  • Perform corrective maintenance

  • Perform failure analysis and implement improvements

  • Update and maintain the CMMS information for the plant

  • Enter work order information into the CMMS

  • Calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot and repair plant controls, valves, and instruments

  • Troubleshoot and repair motor control centers

  • Assist operation as needed in filtration, tank farm, and production units

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required qualifications:

  • Do overtime as required

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

  • Valid Driver's license

  • 5+ years' experience with a strong technical background

  • Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other office equipment

  • Awareness of new technical development and ability to apply new knowledge to the processes in place

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in a process plant or production environment experience in biofuels, petrochemicals, and refining preferred.

  • Demonstrate attention to detail

  • Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing to provide technical expertise as required

  • Work independently or with others as a team to complete assigned projects

  • Good organizational and teamwork skills

  • Manage multiple tasks simultaneously and in a timely manner to meet deadlines
