Job description

A water systems manufacturing company is seeking a Project Engineer to support its Sales team in quoting high-purity water purification systems. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical aptitude, communication skills, and experience bridging engineering with customer-facing teams to support proposal development and sales execution.
Project Engineer Responsibilities
- Support sales team by designing and quoting custom water purification systems (RO, EDI, filtration, etc.)
- Interpret customer requirements and generate technical proposals, pricing, and P&IDs
- Create equipment layout drawings and submittal documents using AutoCAD
- Prepare system documentation including process descriptions, validation protocols (URS, FRS, FAT, SAT, IQ, OQ), and turnover packages
- Coordinate with manufacturing and fabrication teams to ensure engineering intent is clearly communicated
- Assist field installation and service teams with engineering-related troubleshooting and clarification
- Collaborate with project managers and support departments to ensure seamless execution of quoted projects
- Travel occasionally to customer sites for assessments or technical meetings as needed
Project Engineer Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, or related field required
- 2+ years of engineering experience, preferably in water systems manufacturing
Preferences:
- Experience working with customers on an as needed basis as part of the sales process
- Familiarity with AutoCAD
- Experience providing quotes/estimates to customers for custom systems/products
