Job Description

Are you a hands-on Process Engineer who thrives on solving complex plant problems, optimizing processes, and working both in the office and in the field? If you enjoy variety, ownership, and supporting different production sites, this Process Engineer II role on our Technical Services team could be a great fit.

Based at our Phoenix, AZ corporate office (with 30-40% travel), you'll support several U.S. plants, improve reliability and safety, and play a key role in small capital projects.

While this role is based out of our Phoenix, AZ corporate office (preferred for collaboration with our engineering team), we are open to considering candidates who reside within a reasonable driving distance of one of our U.S. plant locations.

Eligible locations include: Fresno, CA; Defiance, OH; Dubuque, IA; Eufaula, AL; Billings, MT; and our Phoenix, AZ (Corporate Headquarters).

What You'll Do

Provide day-to-day process engineering support for different production units.
Perform key engineering calculations: line sizing, pump sizing, PSV sizing (API 520/521).
Develop and update PFDs, P&IDs, and Mass & Energy Balances.
Create equipment and control valve specifications.
Support PSM activities including MOCs, HAZOPs and compliance reviews.
Troubleshoot plant issues during site visits; support turnarounds and startups.
Collaborate with Project Services on small capital projects.

Qualifications

What You'll Bring

BS in Chemical Engineering preferred (Mechanical/related disciplines accepted with strong process background).
Hands-on field experience in a chemical plant, refinery or similar process industry.
3-5 years of process engineering experience supporting manufacturing operations.
Comfortable working in operating units - climbing stairs/ladders, troubleshooting equipment and engaging with operators.
Strong understanding of P&IDs, PFDs, process calculations and equipment specs.
Ability to travel 30-40% for site support.
Exposure to PSM, MOC, HAZOP and API/ASME codes (a plus).
Organized, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
