The Position

  • Assist and oversee food production and menu-based catering for residents in this aged care facility 
  • Ensure contract compliance is met and understanding of the scope of work required (including all OH&S compliance)
  • Lead, mentor and create a positive work culture
  • Provide exceptional customer service for residents and their families
  • Responsible for stock control, budgets, staff mentoring and training both front and back of house
  • Ensure all catering controls are in place and wastage is kept to the minimum
  • Building and leveraging positive customer and client relationships to achieve our partnership objectives

The Person 

  • Kitchen leadership experience is essential
  • Minimum Cert 3 Commercial Cookery qualification and Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
  • Experience in HACCP, food safety and infection control - Aged care experience preferred  
  • Good understanding of IDDSI and the preparation of texture modified meals
  • Experience with full P&L Management and Intermediate computer/Microsoft office skills 
  • Ability to deliver a high standard of customer focused service as this is also a client facing role
  • Police check holder (or be willing to obtain a police check prior to employment)
