Job description

We’re launching Yukon, a stand-up steak concept built on speed, quality, and personality. Small footprint. Tight menu. High standards.

Our first location opens in Redmond, and we’re looking for a General Manager to help build it from the ground up.

Sugar Mountain is a creative, family-owned food company that is home to extraordinary brands like Beecher’s Handmade Cheese, Mishima Reserve, and The Butcher’s Table. We’re passionate about making real food with absolutely zero artificial ingredients. We’re a team at the forefront of the food revolution, committed to our mission to Change the Way America Eats. For years 9 years now, we’ve been recognized as a Great Place to Work, and we’re proud of the value-driven, mission-forward culture that fuels our growth.

The Role
This is a hands-on leadership role. You’ll start on the floor daily running the business, leading your team, and setting the standard. You’ll help define what great looks like - operationally, culturally, and for the guest experience.

What You’ll Own

  • Run all day-to-day operations
  • Build, train, and lead a small, high-performing team
  • Coach and inspire team members, creating a positive, inclusive, and accountable culture
  • Identify high-potential employees and develop them into future supervisors
  • Ensure excellence in food quality, speed of service, and guest experience
  • Own scheduling, labor, inventory, and ordering
  • Maintain cleanliness, safety, and brand standards
  • Represent the brand as the face of the shop
  • Teach and uphold strong food handling and prep standards
  • Ensure all team members are cross-trained
  • Build and manage initial and ongoing training programs
  • Train and develop cooks (cutting, grilling, execution)
  • Execute SOPs consistently and hold the team accountable
  • Help develop and refine SOPs, training systems, and operational playbooks
  • Contribute to brand standards, culture, and overall guest experience

Who You Are

  • Hospitality operator who thrives in fast-paced, small teams
  • Experienced in kitchen operations; comfortable front and back of house
  • Hands-on leader who sets standards and holds them
  • Strong coach who can motivate and develop a team
  • Excited to build something from the ground up
  • Passionate about great food and great service

Compensation & Benefits

The starting salary range for this position is between $84,000 - $89,000 per year, plus an annual bonus plan. Actual compensation will be determined by skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
We offer medical, dental, vision and life insurance premiums, along with 15 days paid time-off, 9 paid holidays, and a 401(k) plan with a company match. Employees enjoy a 35% employee discount at Sugar Mountain locations.

Commitment to Our Communities
Sugar Mountain has created the Beecher's Foundation, a non-profit funded by a portion of sales from companies under the Sugar Mountain umbrella. Aimed at educating people about the prevalence of food additives and their possible health risks, the Foundation is about giving people the tools they need to make healthy eating choices for life.
We are committed to fostering a workplace where individuals of all cultures, genders, ages, sexual orientations, and abilities feel valued, respected, and empowered. Our goal is to build a team that reflects the diversity of the communities we serve and creates an environment where everyone belongs.

Sugar Mountain is a tobacco- free company.
