Do you love the idea of working with your hands to create something truly delicious? Our East Meadow Uncle Giuseppe's Marketplace is looking for a PTMozzarella Clerk to join our lively, passionate team in the Pasta & Mozzarella Department!

As part of our mozzarella family, you'll help craft our authentic, house-made mozzarella-made fresh daily using Uncle Giuseppe's traditional Italian recipe. This role isn't just about making cheese-it's about creating a little piece of culinary joy for our customers! You'll stretch, shape, and season with care, making every batch a masterpiece. If you've got a good sense of rhythm (and a love of cheese), this might be a opportunity for you!

Job Functions
  • Handcraft fresh mozzarella using top-quality curd-heat it, stretch it, and shape it to perfection.

  • Use all five senses to ensure every batch meets our high-quality standards.

  • Record ingredient weights, batch sizes, and daily production details.

  • Weigh, package, and label our fresh mozzarella and keep displays fully stocked.

  • Maintain an immaculate, food-safe workspace and assist with cleaning and restocking.

  • Share your mozzarella-making know-how with curious customers-it's part of the fun!

  • Support your team with additional kitchen duties as needed.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Previous experience in cheese-making or food production is a plus (but not required- we'll teach you the mozzarella art!).

  • Strong attention to detail and good communication skills.

  • Ability to read, speak, and understand English.

  • A positive attitude and willingness to roll up your sleeves in a busy kitchen setting.
