Location: Remote, USA
Job type: Full time Permanent
Shift: Full-time Days 8 hours a day 40 hours a week
Pay Range: According to the Experience, Annually/Yearly + up to 25% bonus + sign on and Benefits
Must-Haves
1 Cisco CCNA required
2 8 years of experience as a Network Engineer in large scale network.
3 Bachelors Degree in Engineering/Mathematics/Computer Science

Job Description
Summary:
Responsible for interfacing directly with end-users and vendors to assess, recommend, design, and implement network solutions and new technologies. Manages the development and maintenance of network design standards. Evaluates and recommends new technologies as they relate to the businesses network strategy. Provides technical leadership and guidance to less experienced team members. Continually enhances departmental knowledge and skills.
Qualifications:
Education:
• Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science or equivalent technical experience.
Licenses/Certification:
• Cisco CCNA required
• Azure and/or GCP certifications preferred
• CCNP or CCIE preferred
Experience:
• Minimum of 8 years' experience as a Network Engineer in a large-scale inter-network environment with proven complex network design experience. Additional experience with Viptela SDWan, Fortinet, and Meraki preferred.
Essential Functions:
• Assesses, recommends, designs, and implements, local, metropolitan, and wide area networks. Supports department staff in configuring and maintaining routers, switches, firewalls and SDWan.
• Leads network planning, architecture design, and engineering for the department. Integrates and schematically depicts network architectures, topologies, hardware, software, transmission, signaling links and protocols into complete network configurations.
• Actively builds and maintains relationships with user community and vendors in order to understand business needs and requirements related to the design of new networking technologies.
• Performs, evaluates, documents, and communicates technology evaluations and installations. Oversees evaluations and installations performed by team members.
• Supports department staff in the analysis, solution, and documentation of network issues and problems. Analyzes and resolves errors escalated by less experienced team members.
• Works with management to develop, communicate, implement, and maintain network design policies, standards, and procedures.
• Serves as Network Engineering lead on multifunctional project teams within IS and across lines of business as required to support business requirements. Supervises Network Engineers and vendors throughout life of project.
• Creates and delivers project review presentations to Divisional leadership and the standard IS internal and executive project review committees.
• Coaches, mentors, and provides feedback to less experienced team members regarding departmental procedures, policies, and standards that pertain to the Network Engineering department
• Solicits feedback and guidance of department best practices from management
• Continually enhances knowledge of Network Engineering and company standards in order to achieve departmental success and professional growth.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Established successful application and capabilities utilizing advanced technical tools related network engineering including:
  • Configuration of Cisco IOS, Aruba, Arista, Meraki, and Fortinet equipment
  • Topologies (i.e., Ethernet, Wireless 802.11 A, B, G, N 802.16 D & E)
  • Google Cloud, Azure connectivity
  • Network Management architecture and configuration within management platforms such as Logic Monitor and Solarwinds
  • Routing: RIP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP and Static Routes, including SDWan policies with Viptela and Fortinet
  • Firewalls: Palo Alto, Fortinet, Checkpoint, Cisco ASA

  • Protocol analysis and problem determination
  • Ability to manage projects, ensuring that projects are clearly defined, systematically executed, and results oriented. Adherence to Project Management best practices, processes, and standards within the organization are required.
