Job description

Build and Support the Networks That Keep Us Moving

We're looking for a hands-on Network Engineer who enjoys solving complex networking challenges and isn't afraid to jump into production environments when issues arise.

This is not a role for someone who simply monitors dashboards or installs hardware.

We're looking for the engineer everyone calls when it's time to configure the firewall, troubleshoot a routing issue, or deploy a network change into production.

You'll join a collaborative Infrastructure team responsible for supporting enterprise networking across multiple locations while helping maintain secure, reliable connectivity for mission-critical operations.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll spend your time supporting and improving enterprise network infrastructure by:

  • Configuring and administering Fortinet FortiGate firewalls
  • Creating and maintaining firewall policies, NAT rules, and security profiles
  • Deploying and supporting IPsec and SSL VPN connectivity
  • Troubleshooting complex routing, switching, and connectivity issues
  • Supporting enterprise LAN/WAN environments
  • Configuring VLANs, routing, DNS, DHCP, and network services
  • Performing packet captures and traffic analysis using tools like Wireshark
  • Supporting SD-WAN and high-availability networking environments
  • Implementing approved network changes during maintenance windows
  • Working alongside senior engineers on larger infrastructure initiatives
  • Creating and maintaining technical documentation and network diagrams

What We're Looking For

We're interested in engineers who have experience supporting enterprise networking—not simply installing hardware.

Ideal candidates will have experience with:

  • Fortinet FortiGate firewalls
  • FortiOS
  • Firewall policy management
  • NAT
  • Routing
  • VLANs
  • IPsec VPN
  • SSL VPN
  • Cisco networking
  • Enterprise switching
  • TCP/IP
  • DNS
  • DHCP
  • SD-WAN
  • High Availability (HA)
  • Wireshark
  • Network troubleshooting

Experience with Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Check Point, Meraki, or SonicWall is also highly valued.

Preferred Experience

  • 3+ years supporting enterprise network infrastructure
  • Experience configuring production firewalls
  • Experience implementing routing and switching changes
  • Experience supporting multi-site environments
  • Experience in healthcare, financial services, manufacturing, or MSP environments
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced production environments
  • Strong documentation and communication skills

Preferred Certifications

  • Fortinet NSE 4 or higher
  • CCNA
  • Network+
  • Security+
  • ITIL Foundation

(Certifications are preferred but not required.)

What Success Looks Like

Within your first few months, you'll be comfortable:

  • Configuring FortiGate firewall policies
  • Supporting enterprise routing and switching
  • Resolving production networking issues
  • Implementing network changes with confidence
  • Collaborating with Infrastructure and Security teams
  • Becoming a trusted escalation point for complex network issues

Why Join Us?

Our team values engineers who enjoy solving problems, learning continuously, and taking ownership of their work. If you're someone who likes being hands-on, thrives in enterprise environments, and wants to grow your networking career alongside an experienced infrastructure team, we'd love to hear from you.
