Job description

On-Call: Dairy Foods Consumer Affairs Representative

Pay Rate: $18.50 per hour

Shift & Working Hours: This position is On-Call/part-time averaging 3-5 days per month. Business hours are Monday - Friday, generally working from 7:45 am - 3:45 pm.

Role Focus:

The Consumer Affairs On Call Representative serves as a consumer contact for Land O’Lakes brands, providing timely, professional support through phone, email, live chat, and written correspondence.

This flexible, on-call role responds to consumer questions, complaints, and feedback related to products, recipes, promotions, and food safety while accurately documenting each interaction.

Required Experience & Skills:

  • 2 or more years of experience as a consumer relations representative or similar service work experience
  • Strong communication, sound judgment, empathy, and a commitment to positive consumer experiences
  • Comfortable using Windows-based systems, Microsoft Office, CRM tools, communication platforms, knowledge databases, and web-based applications; can navigate multiple screens, learn new technology quickly, and troubleshoot basic issues

  • Must be able to work independently in a remote environment while staying connected and collaborative with the team

Preferred Education:

  • BA/BS in Consumer Studies, Business, Food Science or equivalent work experience in Food related field
