We are currently seeking an experienced Machine Builder to join our team in a manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for assembling, installing, testing, and troubleshooting industrial machinery and equipment while ensuring quality and safety standards are met. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, experience reading blueprints, and the ability to work independently and within a team setting.
Responsibilities
* Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation to understand build sequences and component specifications.
* Assemble machinery components using hand tools, power tools, drills, grinders, saws, and specialized equipment.
* Ensure all components are properly aligned, fitted, and securely fastened.
* Perform quality inspections throughout the assembly process to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications.
* Install assembled machinery in designated locations and ensure proper alignment and functionality.
* Connect machinery to power sources, control systems, and other required utilities.
* Conduct testing and troubleshooting to verify proper machine operation and performance.
* Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues during installation and testing.
* Follow all workplace safety procedures and company standards.
* Support team members and assist in other production areas as needed to meet daily goals.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and problem-solving efforts.
* Complete additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
* High School Diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Machine Builder in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
* Strong understanding of mechanical principles and industrial assembly processes.
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
* Experience with measurement and layout techniques.
* Knowledge of assembly, installation, troubleshooting, and repair procedures.
* Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
* Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
* Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift up to 50 pounds.
* Ability to follow Standard Work instructions and safety guidelines.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
* Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
