The Sales Director - Growth & New Business is a high-impact "hunter" role focused on identifying, developing, and capturing new revenue opportunities across untapped and underpenetrated markets. This role is critical in expanding market presence through aggressive prospecting, channel development, and direct customer engagement-driving incremental revenue beyond the existing account base.

You will play a key role in shaping go-to-market strategies, establishing new channels, and accelerating growth in whitespace segments, while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver results.

As a Sales Director - Growth & New Business, you will be responsible for:

  • Identifying, prospecting, and closing new customers across distributor networks, adjacent markets, and wholesale channels

  • Building and executing a targeted growth strategy focused on whitespace opportunities and underdeveloped segments

  • Developing and managing a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities to consistently exceed revenue targets

  • Expanding into adjacent markets and uncovering new applications for existing products

  • Establishing and growing distributor partnerships to extend market reach

  • Driving direct engagement with end users to accelerate product adoption and market penetration

  • Executing agile, market-driven sales strategies aligned with pricing models and competitive dynamics

  • Testing and scaling new go-to-market approaches such as direct-ship models, channel expansion, and service-light offerings

  • Collaborating with internal teams to remove barriers and accelerate deal closure

  • Partnering with Sales Managers (SM) and Strategic Development Managers (SDM) to align on account targeting and engagement strategies

  • Coordinating with Operations, Supply Chain, and Product teams to support successful new business wins

  • Monitoring pipeline health, conversion rates, and growth progress with clear reporting and insights

  • Tracking key performance metrics related to revenue growth and market penetration

  • Continuously refining targeting strategies based on performance data and market insights

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have 10+ years of sales experience.

  • Have experience moving chemical through distributor networks. (Chemical Sales experience)

  • Have proposal/Contract management experience

  • Have demonstrated a proven track record of acquiring new customers and generating net-new revenue

  • Have strong prospecting and pipeline development capabilities

  • Demonstrate experience in building and managing distributor networks and indirect sales channels

  • Have strong commercial acumen, including understanding pricing strategies, competitive positioning, and customer value propositions

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Have experience in direct-to-end-user sales models with minimal reliance on service intermediaries

  • Background in scaling distributor or wholesale sales strategies

  • Have experience in data-driven selling using CRM tools and analytics platforms

  • Exposure to startup or high-growth environments with evolving market dynamics

  • Strong negotiation skills with experience closing complex or non-standard deals in new markets
