Position Overview

At Foundation Building Materials (FBM), Manager, Digital Operations oversees the execution and continuous improvement of the organization's digital platforms, tools, and workflows. This role is responsible for driving adoption, optimizing system performance, ensuring process consistency, and supporting field and corporate teams in leveraging digital solutions effectively. The Manager of Digital Operations serves as a cross-functional leader who partners with IT, Sales, Operations, and Training to deliver a seamless and effective digital experience across the organization.

Responsibilities and QualificationsKey ResponsibilitiesDigital Strategy & Platform Management
  • Drive Strategy & Efficiency: Support the development, execution, and continuous optimization of operational strategies to elevate both internal efficiency and the end-user customer experience.
  • Maximize Platform Performance: Oversee the functionality, scaling, and reliability of core systems to ensure all digital platforms align with evolving business goals.
  • Optimize Workflows: Spearhead system configurations, proactive enhancements, and process updates to streamline digital workflows and eliminate operational bottlenecks.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with IT and external vendors to seamlessly manage system updates, API integrations, rigorous testing, and rapid issue resolution.
 Operations & Performance Monitoring
  • Ensure Operational Excellence: Oversee daily digital activities to guarantee maximum accuracy, data consistency, and strict compliance with established company standards.
  • Analyze Metrics & Adoption: Track platform usage data, system performance metrics, and user adoption trends to uncover actionable opportunities for improvement.
  • Drive Automation & Integrity: Champion key initiatives focused on data integrity, continuous system optimization, and advanced process automation.
  • Standardize Documentation: Author and maintain clear, centralized documentation for digital processes, workflows, and operational best practices.
 Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Consult with Business Experts: Partner with cross-functional subject matter experts to identify, design, and deploy digital solutions that solve operational bottlenecks.
  • Empower Regional & Branch Teams: Champion digital adoption across regional and branch locations by providing clear guidance, training, and strategic support to ensure consistent tool usage.
 Training, Support & Change Management
  • Training & Onboarding: Design and support comprehensive training programs, interactive system demos, and seamless onboarding sessions to guarantee widespread platform literacy.
  • Release Communications: Manage communication and rollout plans for system updates, new features, or digital process changes.
  • Elevate Technical Support: Serve as an escalation tier for complex end-user issues, delivering expert guidance and partnering with internal IT departments for rapid resolution.
  • Drive Change Management: Architect and execute organizational change management strategies that minimize friction, accelerate tool adoption, and optimize modern workflows.
 Additional Responsibilities & Miscellaneous
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support Digital Operations and corporate objectives.
  Qualifications
  • Education & Experience: Associate degree (or equivalent professional experience) in Operations, E-Commerce, Systems Integration, or a related field.
  • Professional Background: 1-2 years of hands-on experience managing digital order workflows, platform operations, change management, or e-commerce ecosystems preferred.
  • Technical Familiarity: Baseline knowledge or exposure to modern digital integrations, AI systems, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), and e-commerce architectures.
  • Software Proficiency: Highly proficient across the standard Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
  • Analytical Problem Solving: Sharp attention to detail with a proven ability to isolate operational friction or system errors and drive swift corrective actions.
  • Time Management: Exceptional organizational skills, with a demonstrated ability to successfully juggle multiple competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Adaptive Leadership: Strong leadership potential paired with the creative thinking required to solve complex problems and continuously improve workflows.

Compensation and BenefitsReports ToFBM Director, Digital Operations  Compensation

The listed pay range reflects the expected base rate for this position. Within the range, individual pay may vary based on experience, qualifications, and work location within state. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.

  • Base: $80,000-$100,000 per year
  • Bonus: 10% Target Bonus
  • Total Compensation (Base + Bonus): The successful candidate could reasonably expect a Total Compensation Package in the range of $84,000-$115,000
  • Equity: This role is not eligible for equity opportunities, awards or grants.
