The Opportunity

We are lookingfor an accomplished Change Manager to join our teamas part of our financial services businessin Montreal.

As a key member of the Programme Management Office, the Change Manager is involved with the execution of global initiatives to drive operational efficiencies, enable business growth, mitigate operational risks and provide new sources of competitive advantage for our fund and fiduciary businesses. The Change Manager effectively coordinates project teams and collaborates with stakeholders to solve challenges. This role focuses on people and organizational impacts and applies change management concepts to ensure project success.

Your primary responsibilities include:

Change Management:

  • Collaborates with the Senior Vice President - Change Management to develop change management strategies that will drive successful outcome of projects under their remit.
  • Executes and measures the change management strategies, obtains insights on risks and impacts and communicates those insights clearly and succinctly.
  • Stakeholder Management - Establishes good relationships and communication with project stakeholders to ensure alignment of expectations.
  • Impact Assessment - Anticipates and identifies people and organizational impacts of projects and works with the relevant stakeholders to manage these impacts and ensure cohesive tactical execution and delivery on project requirements.
  • Partner with Project Managers, Business Leaders, and Executive Sponsors to assess change impacts, develop tailored change plans, manage stakeholder engagement and mitigate organizational risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Design and implement integrated change plans, including communications, training, change networks, readiness assessments resistance management, and reinforcement activities, to enable sustainable business transformation.
  • Training Material - Assists with the development of training and end-user support materials, including classroom materials, online support materials, job aids, and quick reference guides.
  • Communication - Drafts project-related communications for various audiences within the organization.
  • Apply and continuously improve the change management standards, methodologies, governance, tools and reporting to ensure consistent, scalable, and measurable delivery of change across the project portfolio.
  • Monitor organizational readiness and adoption using defined KPI's, provide insights and recommendations to leadership and proactively identify opportunities to strengthen change capability.
  • Supporting a network of change agents by providing them with the knowledge and tools required to bring about change within their teams
  • Working with Project Managers to integrate change management activities into project plans throughout the full lifecycle of the global operational projects, ensuring change management activities are effectively delivered upon
  • Supporting and engaging senior leaders in helping them fulfill the roles of change sponsors and change leaders

  • Persuasively articulates project proposals in concert with business stakeholders.
  • Drives the definition of project plans and the execution of activities under their remit.
  • Tactical Management and Status Tracking - Management of activities / action items necessary to achieve project milestones and provision of regular updates on project status.
  • Issue Management - Anticipates or surfaces potential issues, tracks and prioritizes items, and drives problem resolution.
  • Process Analysis- Mapping current state processes, performing a gap analysis, and defining an improved future state. As applicable, also assisting with system requirements definition, implementation and rollout.

What You Bring

In addition to a commitment to delivering superior candidate and stakeholder experiences:

  • 5 + years of demonstrated experience working on large-scale technology or business transformation change efforts, preferably in the professional or corporate services sectors or as a change consultant
  • A Bachelors or Masters degree or professional qualification in a business discipline (or equivalent work experience)
  • Experience in working within a complex matrix organization, particularly one that operates in multiple countries / jurisdiction.
  • Experience in working with international, virtual, multi-cultural, multi-disciplined, and high-performance working teams.
  • Strong end-user engagement skills, including experience persuasively articulating project and change proposals, socialising ideas and influencing end-users to drive adoption
  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools
  • Exceptional communication skills - both written and verbal. The ability to quickly develop impactful written content to convey ideas to senior stakeholders and assemble structured and succinct slide decks (strong proficiency with PowerPoint required);
  • Effective organisation and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure
  • Comfort working in an agile environment where work products are shared frequently with project sponsors for feedback and iteration
  • Superior analytical and problem-resolution skills - ability to gather and analyse relevant data, formulate and evaluate alternatives and recommend solutions;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Sound business judgment; and
  • Detail-orientation (an obsession with timeliness and precision is an asset).

Gestion de projet:

  • Formuler de maniere convaincante les propositions de projets de concert avec les intervenants commerciaux.
  • Orienter la definition des plans de projets et l'execution des activites qui relevent de sa responsabilite.
  • Rediger des chartes de projet pour de nouveaux volets de travail, comprenant les objectifs, les produits livrables, les risques, les hypotheses, les besoins en ressources et un plan de travail, a des fins d'examen par les responsables de projet.
  • Gestion tactique et suivi d'etat - Gerer les activites et les mesures a prendre necessaires pour realiser les etapes du projet et fournir des mises a jour regulieres sur l'etat d'avancement du projet.
  • Gestion des problemes - Anticiper ou surmonter les problemes potentiels, suivre et classer par ordre de priorite les elements, et faciliter la resolution des problemes.
  • Gestion des intervenants - Etablir de bonnes relations avec les intervenants des projets et communiquer avec eux afin de garantir l'harmonisation des attentes.
  • Analyse et reingenierie des processus - Recenser l'etat actuel des processus, analyser les ecarts et definir l'etat futur ameliore. Le cas echeant, participer egalement a la definition, a la mise en uvre et au deploiement des exigences du systeme.
  • Gestion des connaissances. Tenir un depot de documents de projet et transmettre les connaissances aux gestionnaires de l'entreprise a la fin du projet.

Gestion du changement:

  • Collaborer avec le vice-president, Gestion du changement pour elaborer des strategies de gestion du changement qui permettront de mener a bien les projets relevant de sa competence.
  • Mettre en uvre des strategies de gestion du changement, obtenir de l'information sur les risques et les impacts et communiquer cette information de maniere claire et succincte.
  • Evaluation de l'incidence - Anticiper et determiner l'incidence des projets sur les gens et l'organisation et collaborer avec les intervenants concernes pour gerer cette incidence et assurer une execution tactique coherente et le respect des exigences du projet.
  • Documents de formation - Participer a l'elaboration de la formation et du materiel destines aux utilisateurs finaux, y compris les outils pedagogiques, le materiel de soutien en ligne, les aide-memoire et les guides de reference rapides.
  • Communication - Rediger les communications relatives aux projets pour divers publics au sein de l'organisation.

Votre contribution

  • Au moins troisans d'experience dans un cabinet de conseil en gestion (de preference un des QuatreGrands ou MBB). L'experience pertinente comprendra l'analyse et la reingenierie des processus/l'amelioration des processus, la strategie d'entreprise, les gens et le changement, la gestion du changement ou les projets de developpement organisationnel;
  • un diplome de premier cycle ou d'etudes superieures en commerce ou en genie industriel est souhaitable;
